My 1st decent tackle in 22 years. However, that
tall leggy Dutch fellow still made it over the line for a try. Thanks for noticing the effort Gord.

The three teams on touranament day. I had 2 days of practice, and many days to think about whether I should  actually show up or not. You can`t see them, but I`m wearing shorts with much extra padding and a padded shirt under my jersey. Now I can go in really hard!!

Easy to pick out here because of mad hair. I`m also looking at the ground knowing that very soon indeed I`ll be on it.

Gord asking me if she should pass to me or not. Judging by overall neatness (socks especially) and not yet very red face, this is early on, so I was probably quite willing.

Two points of interest here: Julie sacrificing an afternoon to watch a game she knows nothing about. I should mention that her  attention to the action before her was quite convincing. Imagine, she saw it for what it was; a great assortment varyingly shaped men of all ages trying very hard to get the ball from one another.  I`m sitting beside her utterly knackered.

Gord in the thick of things as he was throughout the afternoon. I recall often being nearby, a keen observer!
